Dr. Brian H. Strand graduated from the University of Wisconsin at Eau Claire and the George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, DC. He completed residencies in general surgery at Bethesda Naval Hospital, outside Washington, DC and plastic surgery at the Eastern Virginia Graduate School of Medicine in Norfolk. He received additional training in hand surgery at the Thomas Jefferson School of Medicine in Philadelphia. Dr. Strand served on active duty in the U.S. Navy, achieving the rank of Commander. He has been in the practice of plastic surgery since 1989. He is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He holds membership in various local, state, regional and national plastic surgery and medical societies.
