Eyelid surgery, also known as blepharoplasty, is a procedure to remove excess skin and fat from the eyelids. The procedure can be performed on either the upper or lower eyelids or on both. Blepharoplasty can improve drooping skin and bagginess around the eyes and in some cases can help those whose vision has been impaired by redundant skin or fat. This procedure can be performed in conjunction with other procedures of the eye, nose, brow or face.
